Why should I take omega 3 fats ?

Simply put, Omega 3 fats are essential for health. They can only be obtained from the food and supplements we consume as they cannot be made in our body like many other nutrients and when consumed in adequate quantities they have an enormous impact in reducing the risk of chronic disease and common risk factors. Most westernized diets are very low in omega 3 fats and this is one of the reasons why the rates of heart disease, cancer and degenerative diseases in westernized countries is so high.
